I've been very busy lately. It's all good stuff, but there's a lot of it. I have a few days off this week before amping up for the big summer. Nick and Maya came up from Springdale to visit. They, Laura, and I went to the Oxbow this afternoon and paddled from the Jackson Lake Dam down to the Pacific Creek take out.
Beavers, muskrats, skeeters, moose, pelicans, cormorants, goldeneyes, mergansers, herons, hawks, and some elk drinking from the river made it a wonderful evening. The smell of the trees and river took us away for a while and the beaver kit we floated by was the cutest thing in the world.
Tomorrow we're headed climbing somewhere in the Tetons. I'm excited to do something I've never done before.
